Having lived with chronic illness most of my life, I understand all too well that healing requires integration of the mind, body and spirit. My vision for EIIHS is to restore faith and trust in the medical profession by educating physicians in "complementary" and "alternative" medical modalities, and by creating well-rounded, holistic practitioners who understand the interconnectedness of the body and the energy that permeates it. I hope to eliminate fear and reluctance surrounding discussions on energy and quantum mechanics, promoting open dialogue and integration into medical practice. By recognizing humans as physical, emotional, and spiritual beings, I advocate for comprehensive treatment that considers all aspects of a person's well-being.

The wisdom of TCM is found in the manuscripts and texts of the classics, in order to comprehend the meaning and context of these truths, one must understand the language. My extensive experience in the field of translating these ancient texts has given me a unique perspective and I intend to pass that skill on to my students, to give them the tools they need to excel in their careers.

An integrative health professional should always keep focused on the holistic nature of a human being. Mind body and spirit are intertwined and in order to provide the best healing experience for patients, the practitioner must embrace these concepts and combine best practices from variety of disciplines. Another important factor is community, and giving back. Hippocrates said "treat the patient, not the disease, and give yourself to the community. At EIIHS our students will have the core competencies to have a positive impact on patients lives.

In these significant times for modern medicine, I advocate integrating ancient East Asian medicine with contemporary practices to achieve optimal healing for individuals and humanity. My experience and education in the human body and psyche have highlighted the importance of this interrelation in understanding and treating pathology.
Teaching East-West integration to my students at EIIHS is crucial, as it equips them with the ability to utilize Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) tools with critical thinking, empathy, and clinical expertise. I firmly believe that as primary healthcare providers and inheritors of ancient medical wisdom, lifelong commitment to learning about medicine is essential for TCM practitioners to be well-rounded and successful.

Epidemiology is an essential scientific discipline that helps us understand the
spread, causes, and prevention of diseases. It can often be the key to identifying
disease outbreaks, determining the factors contributing to an illness, and preventing the
spread of infectious diseases. Teaching natural science also helps to develop essential skills in students in observation, hypothesis formation, experimentation, collecting, and analysis of data. Ultimately, my goal is to inspire a love of learning our students at EIIHS, and to help them grow into curious, knowledgeable, and engaged members of society..

In 2023, we find ourselves in exciting times, with ever-increasing information from the work of neuroscientists and biologists which results in new understandings and terminology. For example, we now know that we are changing continuously - which we see in the mechanisms of how we create and absorb receptors in our brains as we learn. We can embrace this knowledge: and use it to reduce fears, deliberately engage with these mechanisms, and make learning easier. I believe that it’s now possible to empower ourselves and clients more than ever before.

I have been passionate about understanding the human body since the first day of medical school, but in all the years I have practiced only conventional medicine (more than 20) I felt I needed to know something more to become a really good doctor. And then, when I studied Eden Energy Medicine I understood what was missing. No one teaches you in medical school that more than physical bodies, we are spiritual, energetic and emotional beings.
I am passionate about teaching this combination of conventional and alternative medicine to all who are interested in understanding the human being as a whole, and I consider it my mission.
