EIIHS 2025 Academic Senate: Advancing Hybrid TCM & Integrative Health Education around the world !

The European Institute of Integrative Health Sciences (EIIHS) opened the 2025–26 academic year with a dynamic Academic Senate Meeting led by Dr. Aram Akopyan, Dean of Academics. This year’s focus is clear: strengthening our hybrid, competency-based model while equipping faculty with the right tools to teach an evolving generation of students.

A central theme of the session was Education 3.0 – a move towards Advancing Hybrid Integrative TCM Education with a carefully curated learning environments that blend asynchronous study, live sessions, clinical intensives, and flipped classrooms. Our modular, semester-based structure continues to support this, ensuring students move steadily through biomedicine, Oriental medicine, ethics, and their chosen clinical specialisation, all within an integrative framework.

The Senate also heard important institute updates, including our growing network of international partnerships (Yo San University, Anhui University, Dhulikhel Hospital Nepal) and new academic pathways that open doors to DAOM and PhD studies, as well as routes toward NCCAOM certification for those wishing to practise in the US. These developments reaffirm EIIHS’s commitment to building a truly global community of TCM integrative health practitioners.

Faculty support was another highlight. The Academic Affairs team outlined streamlined scheduling, clinical intensive planning, and accreditation work, while the tech segment introduced teaching tools such as Edpuzzle and Qi Bo v2.0, our in-house AI TCM tutor, designed to make online delivery more engaging and data-informed.
