Led by Dr. Aram Akopyan, Dean of Academics and Co-Founder of EIIHS, the day focused on patient care, clinical theatre, and interdisciplinary education within the department.

Clinical Theatre and Departmental Teaching

Throughout the day, Dr. Akopyan worked directly within the Gynecology and Obstetrics Department, seeing patients, conducting Clinical Theatre, and lecturing students and physicians within the department.

These sessions emphasized integrative acupuncture and Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) as collaborative clinical tools, applied within a hospital setting and aligned with departmental care pathways.

The Clinical Theatre format allowed for case-based learning, diagnostic discussion, and therapeutic demonstration in direct dialogue with medical professionals.

Institutional Collaboration and Shared Vision

At midday, Dr. Ram, Founder and Chief Executive of Dhulikhel Hospital, joined the EIIHS team for a communal lunch, affirming the collaboration between the hospital and EIIHS and engaging in discussion around future plans and continued partnership.
